☻ about the brand ☻

since graduating in 2020 with a degree in fashion knitwear, I have developed small collections of environmentally conscious, fun & original garments, made to be size inclusive & to be loved and to last. everything has been designed, cut, sewn, knitted and packaged up in my tiny studio in the UK

welcome to my world! I hope you stick around ☻

I like to take things ‘slow’

  • each piece is handmade to order - this means there Is no stock wasted if it doesn’t sell

  • everything is designed, cut, sewn, pressed and packaged in-house, with the occasional helping hand from the lovely Chloe, so things take a little longer - this isn’t fast fashion

  • as a slow fashion brand I also offer custom sizing completely free of charge. not only does this mean you’ll get a perfect fit, but it also means I can cater to a huge range of sizes you might not be able to find in fast fashion retailers - all bodies are welcome here :)

  • making to order also means that if there is anything you'd like to change on a garment, or if you'd like a completely bespoke piece, you can!

sustainability pledge

fun, unique and high quality fashion doesn't have to damage the planet or exploit workers, which is why I am dedicated to minimising my impact as much as possible. here are just a few ways that the ‘Mia layzell’ brand is making this happen:

  • every piece is made using remnant, dead-stock or environmentally conscious fabrics & yarns

  • all of the packaging I use is reusable, recyclable and compostable

  • every piece is made to order which means there is no unsold stock left over

  • I utilise even the smallest scraps of fabric and yarn, Turning them into zero waste scrunchies or using them to attach the swing tags to your orders. I also donate fabric scraps that are too small for me to use

  • I source all of my packaging and sewing/knitting supplies from local sellers, second hand shops or Uk suppliers when I can’t shop local

  • care instructions given to customers include recommending hand-washing in cool water or machine washing on cool - washing on high, tumble drying and dry cleaning are more damaging to the planet and especially to your ‘Mia layzell’ piece
